Career
Jeff was born and raised in Indiana. After graduating from Purdue University, Jeff attended law school at Indiana University (Bloomington) where he received his law degree, and was then admitted to the Indiana bar. Soon after, he was also admitted to the Texas bar. Jeff began his career representing individuals who were unknowingly exposed to dangerous levels of toxic chemicals, causing them to develop significant illnesses. His clients included families whose soil and drinking water were contaminated by a massive toxic chemical dumpsite operating illegally nearby. Later, Jeff’s practice evolved to focus primarily upon the representation of patients seriously harmed by nursing home abuse and medical neglect. Jeff’s record as lead trial counsel has included various distinctions. One of Jeff’s trials, involving a physician who injured his patient and then falsified records to conceal his negligence, resulted in one of the largest punitive damage ratio awards ever reported in the State of Texas . In another of Jeff’s trials, the jury held the negligent hospital accountable for callously harming its patient by rendering one of the largest reported verdicts in Rockwall County, Texas. Jeff’s office is now located in Indianapolis, and he represents patients and their families throughout Indiana. Jeff has been an invited speaker at various legal education seminars on the topics of litigation technology and nursing home neglect. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and coaching youth athletics.
